Jaden shook his head when Selena made the comment about anger issues at camp. "Not really," he told her. "Not all the time, anyways. Hades's and Ares's kids get a bit temperamental, I won't deny that. But for the most part, everyone's friends here, even the Hades and Ares kids." Then he glanced at Matt, then at Shane, who was walking away. "Sibling rivalry..." he mumbled. "Wonder what that's like."

Jaden had been hoping against hope that Matt wouldn't bring that particular subject up. He sighed and said, "Well...thing is, not all demigods are claimed. The gods have many children, and sometimes they overlook us. Sometimes, they don't care much about us. But I think you'll be different... Because personally, between the two of us, I have an idea who your godly parent is. I believe you are a son of Hades, the Lord of the Underworld. I might be wrong, but that's the impression I've gotten."

As Selena heard Jaden mentioning that Mat could be Hades' son, she grinned. From all she had rode about it, she had almost no doubts about it but Mat didn't seemed to accept it. It could have been worse, a boy son of Aphrodite. In that case, the boy would be mocked for it. Even she had been teased for that and she was girl.
She decided to lay down, leaning into a tree. She didn't knew if she should say something about the topic they were talking about, since she barely knew any of them and they could think she was just saying some things to show she was the best. But she decided to speak anyway, only because she felt like it, guessing that the boys might say something after.
- I agree with Jaden. Only Hades has control over Fire and it seems you have it too. Honestly, I don't see many doubts about it, but I might be wrong as well...

Jace glanced down and took his hands out of his pockets. He glanced at Jaden, Selena, then finnaly Matt. "Not special enough? On the contrary, your just enough special." Jace then threw down his hood and ran a hand through his hair and sighed, his gaze never leaving Matt. Then Jace began to speak again and as he did he moved closer to Matt. "Your temper, your firey passion for battle, and you stubborness. All are huge traits in Lord Hades. The way you talk, act, move, everything." Jace began to finger the ring of his idex finger. The ring was a gift from his father. "It's in my opinion that you are the son of the Lord of the Underworld. The god of deals and rich. Your a son of Hades." Jace cocked his head at Matt. He certainly has the rage and hate of the God of the Dead. And his saddness none-the-less. "And before you contridict my reasoning, let it be known that I am too, a son of Hades." Jace then put his hands back in his pockets and looked at the ground and felt unease in his stomache. Was that good enough father? What more do you want from me
