Here prophecies for special events and the storyline will be placed, as well as the past prophecies from the series. So be sure to check this thread often, because storyline prophecies effect the entire site.
Old Prophecies: A Blast From the Past!"You shall go west and face the god who has turned,
You shall find was stolen and see it safely returned,
You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend,
And you shall fail to save what matters most in the end."
This prophecy was of course made to Percy Jackson. The "god who has turned" is actually Ares, not Hades, as first assumed. What was stolen was Zeus's master bolt and Hades's helm of darkness. Percy was betrayed by Luke Castellan, son of Hermes. And Percy failed to save his mother, because he let her save herself because he knew she could. He also failed to prevent Luke's descent into evil, however.
"You shall sail the iron ship with warriors of bone,
You shall find what you seek and make it your own,
But despair for your life entombed in stone,
And fail without friends, to fly home alone."
This prophecy was made to Clarisse, daughter of Ares. The "iron ship" turned out to be the CSS Birmingham. The "warriors of bone" were skeletons controlled by Clarisse. "You shall find what you seek and make it your own," this is of course referring to the Golden Fleece. Grover despairs for his life when he is imprisoned by the Cyclope named Polyphemus. And of course, without Percy, Annabeth and Grover's help, Clarisse would've failed to bring the Golden Fleece back to camp.
"Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,
One shall be lost in the land without rain,
The bane of Olympus shows the trail,
Campers and Hunters combined prevail,
The Titan's Curse must one withstand,
And one shall perish by a parent's hand."
This prophecy was made to Huntress Zoe Nightshade. The five going to Artemis, the goddess in chains, are Percy, Grover, Zoe, Bianca, and Thalia. Bianca is killed in a desert, the "land without rain." The "bane of Olympus" is of course the Ophiotaurus Bessie. "Campers and Hunters combined prevail" refers to the fact that both campers and Hunters of Artemis are on the quest. "The Titan's Curse must one withstand" could refer to either Percy, Artemis, or Annabeth as they all had taken turns holding up the sky. And Zoe Nightshade is the one referred to in the line "And one shall perish by a parent's hand," being killed by her father Atlas.
"You shall delve in the darkness of the endless maze,
The dead, the traitor, and the lost one raise.
You shall rise or fall by the ghost king's hand,
The child of Athena's final stand,
Destroy with a hero's final breath,
And lose a love to worse than death."
This prophecy was made to Annabeth. Of course the "endless maze" is the ever-growing Labyrinth. "The dead, the traitor, and the lost one raise" refers to Nico's summoning of the dead, the traitor is Nemisis's son Ethan Nakamura, and the lost one is Briares the Hundred-Handed One. The "ghost king" is Nico di Angelo, who helps out Percy, Annabeth, Tyson and Grover. The child of Athena with a final stand is actually Daedalus, not Annabeth. The Labyrinth, entertwined with Daedalus's life force, is destroyed with his death. And the love lost to worse than death is Luke, whose body is taken over by Kronos.
New Prophecies: What Can They Mean?"A new generation of heroes arise,
Unite with those we'd rather despise,
In the face of danger none know,
The child of Poseidon's heavy blow,
The key to success lies unsuspected,
And remains as of now unaffected."
Description coming soon, so keep checking back every now and then.
