Kate was born and raised on her father's farm whom became widowed after his wife who bore him eight sons died of cancer. Growing up with eight brothers was no picnic she grew up tough knowing how to take care of herself. Her brothers were very overprotective of their little sister but once she turned twelve the youngest of her brothers left to go off to college and venture into the world and so her father had to hire help to run the farm. Highly trained in boxing, kickboxing, tai kwon do, and muay thai.
Her beauty caught many eyes and especially that of her captor whom worked as a farmhand on her father's farm watched her every move until one day watching wasn't enough for him. He kidnapped Kate while she was sleeping drugged her and kept her locked away in an underground basement until he felt she was weak enough for him to do as he wishes until she gave into him. This day never came but one day after being so frustrated with her situation Kate caused a massive earthquake in which the ceiling caved in and she was granted her freedom. But she wasn't satisfied with that she wanted him to pay for what he put her throw taking her from her family and all that she knew so she tortured him until he begged to die experimenting with her powers. But form them she has been aware of her powers not knowing where they came from or what she was exactly.
Returning home was hard for her readjusting to home but then one day she finally sought the courage to tell her father what happened that day she escaped. Relieved to hear she wasn't just some freak but that it was something she inherited from her mother her true mother Demeter till now she always thought her and her brothers shared the same mother. Summer was coming and she was invited to stay at Camp Half-Blood off to start a new journey and hopefully get some friends along the way.
